Paramount+ is bringing a musician-packed New Year’s Eve show live to viewers on December 31st. Airing from 7:30 pm to 1:05 am Eastern Time, this five-hour show brings together new country artists and classic country performers. New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash has been celebrated since New Year’s Eve 2021, making this the third year for the event.
Location and Programming
CBS has partnered with the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp to stream this live event directly from Nashville. While the show will incorporate the New York City Ball Drop typically associated with New Year’s Eve, Nashville will primarily focus on its very own Music Note Drop as it counts down to the new year on the East Coast. Performances will continue through midnight Central Time.
In addition to coverage of the Nashville event, there will be CBS correspondents in New York City and a live performance from Times Square by singer Dustin Lynch.
Paramount+ Performers
This year, the program will be presented by returning hosts Rachel Smith and Elle King. With over 50 performances from popular country artists, CBS announced new collaborations, covers of classic country songs, and the biggest hits performed live. Artists this year include Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, and Morgan Wallen. Additionally, the band Lynyrd Skynyrd will take this opportunity to commemorate their 50th anniversary.
