The reality TV depictions of alternatives to monogamy have mostly been limited to TLC, but thanks to Couple to Throuple, Peacock is getting in on the action. The new polyamory dating series was just announced by the streaming platform.
‘Couple to Throuple’ Premise
Couple to Throuple centers around 14 single people open to any style of dating and four couples open to polyamory staying at a tropical resort in hopes of finding (more) love. Participants will have the option of leaving the resort as a throuple, a couple, or single. “If you were given the chance at non-monogamy in paradise, what would you do?” series host Scott Evans says at the beginning of the trailer.
More About Scott Evans
This new reality show’s host, Scott Evans, is no stranger to hosting. Evans has been a host on Access Hollywood since 2016, and he’s hosted or guest-hosted several other television programs including World of Dance, All Access, and Access Daily. Evans has increased in popularity and presence on the internet in recent years thanks to his red carpet work – the host is a frequent interviewer at major events, garnering viral soundbites from the likes of Rihanna, Usher, Tom Cruise, and Jennifer Coolidge, among others. Evans also has a few acting credits to his name.
Premiere Date
Couple to Throuple is arriving soon. The 10-episode season will begin airing on Peacock on Thursday, February 8, and the rest of the season will drop in batches throughout the month with the finale airing on Thursday, February 29.
Peacock is becoming the unofficial streaming destination for reality television. Between housing Bravo shows the day after airing on network (often hosting the uncensored versions) and debuting original series such as Couple to Throuple, the streamer is continually increasing its robust options for reality television fans.
