Apple TV+ has announced that Slow Horses has been renewed for a fifth season. While a release date has not been announced for the newest installation, the December 2023 release of the season three finale means fans will have plenty of new content to enjoy.
‘Slow Horses’ So Far
Slow Horses, based on the novel series Slough House by Mick Herron, tells the story of Slough House, a dumping ground of the British secret service that houses agents who have made major professional missteps, also referred to as the “slow horses” of MI5. The group of misfits, which includes an agent with a gambling addiction and one who left a top-secret disk on a train, is led by the genius but obnoxious Jackson Lamb, portrayed by Gary Oldman.
Each season drags Slough House into an international plot that the paper pushers wouldn’t otherwise be assigned to. The group must learn to work together to save lives and uncover secrets, their toxic environment acting as the perfect incubator for real friendships and relationships.

New Season, New Story
The five-time BAFTA Award-nominated series will introduce a mysterious character that may cause more trouble for them. Tech expert and ex-hacktivist Roddy Ho has a new girlfriend who has the team on high alert. It’s then up to Slough House to investigate a city-wide series of events while keeping a close eye on Ho’s dazzling new partner.
