Former child star Amanda Bynes dropped the first episode of her new podcast, Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast, on December 9, 2023. Just a week after its release, the actor announced that she was pausing the show indefinitely.

Days after pausing the show, Bynes returned to TikTok, the same platform where she made her first announcement concerning the show’s status, to share that she has reversed her decision and will continue recording new episodes.

Amanda Bynes Wants Better Guests

In Amanda Bynes’ first TikTok announcement, she said she was happy with the response to the podcast, but said she and her co-host would be pausing due to not being able to garner guests of a certain caliber. Bynes mentioned musicians Drake, Jack Harlow, and Post Malone by name as examples of the types of people she’d like to interview on the show.

Fans encouraged Bynes to continue podcasting anyway, many commenting that it takes time to build a podcast platform that warrants such guests. Bynes’ first podcast guest was tattoo artist and model Dahlia Moth.

The Podcast Continues

In Bynes’ most recent TikTok announcement, she stated that after seeking advice from those close to her, she decided to continue recording podcast episodes, noting that it takes time for a podcast to grow. She posted another video to TikTok shortly after stating that her next podcast guest will be Nick Mendez, store manager of Flight Club Los Angeles, and she will record the podcast this coming Friday. Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast is streaming now on Spotify.
