Popular sitcom Abbott Elementary is slated for a February 7, 2024 return to network television with a scheduled one-hour season premiere. The announcement comes after both the writers’ and actors’ strikes have ended.
Past Information on ‘Abbott Elementary’
Aside from the premiere date and length, no details have been revealed about Season 3 of the Quinta Brunson-created and led series. In seasons past, the show has brought on guests from across the entertainment industry like Vince Staples, Leslie Odom Jr., Ayo Edebiri, and Taraji P. Henson, their inclusions hinting at either character returns or new guest appearances from seasoned professionals.
Abbott Elementary’s first season raked in three Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series (Wendy O’Brien), Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series (Brunson), and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (Sheryl Lee Ralph). The show’s second season garnered nominations in two of those three same categories, plus an additional six in categories such as Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series (Henson). The Emmys ceremony, which was postponed due to the aforementioned strikes, is scheduled for January 15, 2024.
