Last week it was announced that Taylor Swift is 2023’s Apple Music’s Artist of the Year. This year, Swift not only dominated Apple Music charts but entertained millions during her Eras Tour and broke multiple streaming and charting records with both old and new hits.

Taylor Swift Stats

The statistics speak for themselves: 65 of Taylor Swift’s songs hit the Apple Music Global Daily Top 100 in the first 10 months of 2023 alone, more than any other artist. The year 2023, dubbed “Taylor’s Version” on Apple Music, saw Swift’s streaming numbers soar, particularly during her Eras Tour. The week the tour launched in March, her global streams grew by 61 percent.

Throughout the summer, Swift continued to see significant growth in monthly streams. Her Eras Tour setlist became the most streamed of the year, emphasizing her ability to draw in listeners with both new hits and timeless classics.

Several of Swift’s songs, like “Bad Blood,” “Blank Space,” and “Shake It Off,” charted on Apple Music for the first time in 2023, and “Cruel Summer” from her 2019 album Lover re-emerged as a major hit, staying in the Global Daily Top 100 since April. Her album Midnights stands as the biggest album of all time by a female artist on Apple Music, both in terms of first-day and first-week streams.

Apple Celebrates

Oliver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music and Beats, lauded Taylor Swift as “a generation-defining artist and a true change agent in the music industry.” Along with the compliments, the tech company will be marking Swift’s new title with a physical Apple Music Award, which features Apple’s custom silicon wafer, symbolizing the connection between technological innovation and artistic creativity.

Additionally, Apple Music is spotlighting Swift’s career with special programming that delves into her “Eras era,” highlighting how songs from her past have surged to become some of this year’s biggest hits. This includes dedicated radio programming, interviews, album collections, and playlists that chronicle Swift’s journey to this historic year.

Taylor Swift is streaming now wherever you listen to music.
