A year after releasing her sophomore album, SOS, SZA has dropped a series of cover art for the upcoming deluxe version, entitled Lana. SZA, given name Solána Rowe, has yet to confirm a release date for the project, but she did share that it will include another seven to 10 songs.
Success Following ‘SOS’
Previously best known for her debut studio album Ctrl, SZA’s career hit new heights in late 2022 and throughout 2023 thanks to SOS. Following the album’s release, SZA landed her first number-one single in “Kill Bill,” embarked on a successful muti-city tour, and became the most-nominated artist at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
Among her nine nominations are Album of the Year for SOS and both Record and Song of the Year for “Kill Bill.” “a day late but Happy 1 year anniversary to an album that is ACTIVELY CHANGING MY LIFE,” SZA said on Instagram.
Fan Theories for ‘Lana’
As noted, SZA’s been tight-lipped regarding the release of the deluxe version, but fans suspect Lana will drop on December 15 as three of the six pieces of cover art feature the artist in a jersey with the number 15. Until Lana’s release, you can stream both SOS and Ctrl wherever you listen to music.
