Stream These Reality Shows If You Aren’t a Fan of ‘The Kardashians’

LOS ANGELES - NOV 12: Kim Kardashian arrives for Baby2Baby Annual Gala on November 12, 2022 in West Hollywood, CA

Love drama-fueled reality shows but not a big fan of The Kardashians? Don’t worry, there are a ton of stellar reality shows that will feed your need for romance, secrets, and extravagance and keep you entertained all summer long.

Below Deck

When you put together a crew, challenging guests, and grueling work on a yacht out to sea, it’s bound to get a little dicey. Below Deck follows yacht crews (called yachties) as they live and work on luxury boats, providing different services to different groups of passengers. Tensions run high as crews work for demanding clients and get caught up in love triangles, but the unique experiences documented keep new yachties coming back for more.

Between the 10 seasons of the original series and the four spin-offs, there’s plenty of content to binge-watch. Even better, there don’t seem to be any signs of the series being canceled. What the show lacks in action-packed adventure (they are stuck on a boat, after all) it certainly makes up for in romantic tension and personality friction.

All the clashes are streaming now on Peacock.

Vanderpump Rules

What can we say – we love the drama that comes with watching big personalities that are forced to work together in high-stress jobs. Vanderpump Rules was the first spin-off from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and continues to serve us tales of drama and triumph. We get an inside look at Lisa Vanderpump and the staff at her different restaurants as they work to establish themselves in show business and each other’s lives.

One of our favorite things about this show is the success we’ve gotten to see from the cast. From marriages to babies to professional ventures, these driven individuals are just a lot of fun to watch. With 10 seasons, an after-show, and two spin-offs, there’s a lot to catch up on (and don’t get us started on Scandoval).

Love & Hip Hop: New York

For more show business drama, check out Love & Hip Hop: New York. The show that helped launch Cardi B’s career follows hip-hop musicians, managers, and producers as they solidify their place in the industry and balance their personal lives with their work. With a total of four different locations and spanning over 30 total seasons, this show will draw you in for the long haul.

Love & Hip Hop: New York brings a new twist to reality shows by stripping away the public perception of the hip-hop industry and showcasing a different side. Although some of the drama can feel artificially inflated, its status as a guilty pleasure continues to propel it to the front of the unscripted pack.

This instant favorite is streaming now on Paramount Plus.

Selling Sunset

High-end real estate never looked so good. Selling Sunset lets us see the glitz, glamor, and drama that comes with selling homes in the Los Angeles area. The agents of the Oppenheim Group are fabulous, driven, and a little cliquey, making for very watchable tension when new agents hit the scene.

Don’t be fooled – while this show involves real estate, it is much more about the interpersonal dynamic of the cast. This relatively new show (2019) already has six seasons.

Selling Sunset is streaming now on Netflix.
