The holiday season is here and with it comes the opportunity to exchange gifts with your favorite people. If you have audiophiles in your life who are always looking for the best listening technology, Spotify has you covered with its 2023 Gift Guide. Staffers of the audio streaming platform have compiled a list of audio technologies for a seamless listening experience.
Earbuds
Sony collaborated with Olivia Rodrigo on its LinkBuds S to give high-quality audio with Rogrigo’s signature pop of purple. These buds come with the Spotify Tap feature that allows you to dive back into your listening session with a single tap.
For the Samsung purists, the Galaxy Buds2 Pro buds are also enabled with Spotify Tap. Although they come in at a slightly higher price point than the LinkBuds S, they are a natural integration for those already living in the Samsung ecosystem.
Wearable Tech
On the wearable tech side, one suggestion from Spotify’s staff is the Google Pixel Watch 2. The Pixel Watch connects with Spotify to make it a remote for any of your devices that stream Spotify. As a bonus, you can use Google’s smartwatch as the player itself, letting you leave the rest of your devices behind while you take a stroll with your favorite playlist.
The list also featured the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Smart Glasses. These glasses come equipped with a built-in camera, a conversational assistant (much like, “Hey Siri”), and temple-tip speakers that give you an immersive experience without pesky earbuds or bothering the people around you with speakerphone.
Consoles and Displays
Spotify has a couple of display recommendations for those who want the opportunity to use their display for more than just great audio. The Amazon Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen) and the Google Nest Hub Smart Display both offer loud, clear audio that you can hear over the general din of life and support voice command to free up your hands.
Gamers can also get in on the audio fun. Sony’s PlayStation 5 lets you tap into Spotify’s Gaming hub to listen to your favorite gaming soundtracks before switching over to play your favorite video games.
