In the Netflix series “Outer Banks,” JJ Maybank, portrayed by Rudy Pankow, was initially perceived and identified as a Pogue, which refers to the working-class locals of the Outer Banks. However, a significant plot twist in Season 4 Part 1 reveals that JJ was actually born into a Kook family, making him a Kook by birth.
