Totally obsessed with all the stars of your favorite streaming content? Us too. And it’s not enough just to know what we can gather from IMDb (although that is great information). We want to know more interesting information, like how these entertainment professionals got into the industry and their favorite memories from a career in film. We get all that and more from these excellent podcasts.

SmartLess

Hosted by Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes, SmartLess was a pandemic project that’s become one of the best interview podcasts available. Each show features a new guest with insane credentials, and since each of the hosts has been in the industry for decades, usually at least one has a personal or professional connection with the guest. The interviews are insightful and hilarious, and few podcasts are capable of getting such a wide range of A-List celebrities. With over 100 episodes recorded so far and a new one released every week, there’s plenty to listen to.

Armchair Expert

Dax Shepard has really hit his stride with his podcasting endeavor Armchair Expert. Like the hosts of SmartLess, Shepard has tons of friends in the industry, so he pulls some of the most interesting celebrities making entertainment today. But unlike many other podcast hosts, Shepard is very vulnerable about his own past, and he uses that to connect with his guests in a beautiful and authentic way. Multiple new episodes come out each week.

Chicks in the Office

Barstool podcast Chicks in the Office is helmed by co-hosts Maria Ciuffo and Francesca Mariano, better known as Ria and Fran. The co-hosts bring on a vast array of guests, including actors, but they also discuss all things pop culture, both delivering news and sharing their opinions. They release new episodes Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and their Monday episodes end with a trivia game giving listeners a chance to learn even more about their favorite movies, TV shows, and streaming stars.

This Past Weekend

If you’ve heard any clips of Theo Von speaking, you know that essentially everything that comes out of his mouth is bizarre, but we have to admit, it makes for an interesting listening experience. His podcast This Past Weekend features conversations between him and both buzzy internet stars and legendary actors alike. Von doesn’t ask intense questions that you would’ve expected from Barbara Walters, but he does pull unique information out of his guests. New episodes are released weekly.
