AMC+, the streaming service hosting shows from the AMC channel and other selections under its banner, has some top-tier original content but is notoriously difficult to use. Perhaps knowing this, they partnered with other companies as an add-on and now have taken a fascinating new route: randomly (and temporarily) putting some of their most binge-worthy dramas on Max. Here are the AMC+ shows you can stream on Max until November.
Dark Winds
One of the decade’s best new police procedural series showed up last year on AMC+, so now is your chance to catch up on this exciting modern noir-ish show starring Zahn McClarnon as the lead detective on a murder case in Navajo territory. The hitch, as with all the ongoing shows on this list, is that you only get to watch the old episodes of the series; even though the second season of Dark Winds just recently concluded, it is not available to stream on Max. Still, this is one season of AMC goodness that you cannot miss.
Gangs of London
There is no official release date for the third season of Gangs of London, but you can revisit or freshly jump into all the previously aired episodes of this British crime show. Joe Cole plays the son of a crime lord fighting against the numerous factions of criminals, and Sope Dirisu, as an undercover police officer, also makes a notable presence. The Raid and The Raid 2 director Gareth Evans co-created this engrossing, world-building video game adaptation, featuring co-production from AMC only on the recent, less well-received second season.
Interview with the Vampire
AMC had another critically acclaimed series debut in 2022, the first entry in their soon-to-be expanded universe of Anne Rice novel adaptations. While the 1994 Hollywood film eschewed some of the more provocative aspects in Rice’s writing, the new Interview with the Vampire brings them all back, and the decision to reincorporate LGBTQ+ elements yielded positive engagement from critics and audiences alike. The casting of recognizable supporting actors, as well as Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid as the lead roles, was a gamble that paid off immensely.
Killing Eve
Killing Eve was one of the most hotly discussed new British shows in 2018, developed by Fleabag‘s Phoebe Waller-Bridge and starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer in an updated take on spy vs. international assassin. Changing showrunners for each new set of episodes, critics determined that Killing Eve declined in quality drastically with each passing season, with many collectively finding the series finale an unsatisfying disappointment. Nevertheless, that first season was damn good.
Each of these series is streaming now on Max.
