Disney+ Made Halloween Streaming Super Easy This October

Bette Midler in 'Hocus Pocus', streaming now on Disney+

If you’re less of a Halloween fan and more into Halloweentown, perhaps Disney+ is your refuge for all things spooky season streaming. If that’s the case, you’ll be happy to know the streaming platform made Halloween viewing an absolute breeze this season with some easy-to-use navigation changes.

All You Have to Do is Scroll

We’re not kidding when we say these changes are simple to follow. When using the app on a television, select your profile as usual. Once the home screen loads, scroll down until you see the heading Halloween Movies and Series (the number of headings you have to scroll past to find the Halloween options will differ depending on how you use the app). Follow the same process if you’re watching on a computer or mobile device.

Once you’ve reached the selection of Halloween titles, scroll across and you’ll see the titles Disney+ is promoting this year, like Hocus Pocus 2 and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Scrolling to the end of the top selections will take you to a card that says Halloween Collection (if you don’t read carefully, this option will blend in like a regular title). Clicking on Halloween Collection will take you to a new page that houses all of Disney+’s spooky movies and series.

The streaming service has works organized by some very specific categories. There’s a Movies and Series category with the aforementioned titles, as well as the original Hocus Pocus, The Haunted Mansion, and a slew of Disney Channel Original Movies, like Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire and Phantom of the Megaplex

Even More Disney+ Content

There’s also Shorts and Specials, The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror, and Haunting Episodes, but Millennial and Gen Z Disney Channel fans will be particularly psyched by the Disney Channel Halloween Episodes category, which houses all the spookiest episodes from current and bygone Disney Channel shows. (You know exactly which episodes of Even Stevens, Lizzie McGuire, and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody are featured there.)

Strangely, Disney+ doesn’t have any Halloween titles listed under its Featured category within Movies or Series, so unless you know exactly which title you want to watch and can quickly search it, using the Halloween Collection feature will probably be the fastest way to find what you’re looking for this October. It also might help you rediscover a spooky old favorite. Whatever the case, it’s an excellent feature that other streaming services should adopt (if they haven’t already).
