Apple has added a variety of new offerings to the Apple Fitness+ platform. As part of a campaign to boost mindfulness in the new year, the platform has worked to make health more accessible through new guided fitness programs and audio options.
New Apple Fitness+ Programs
Apple Fitness+ has added a set of new fitness programs designed specifically for golfers. Professional golfer Rose Zhang helped create the sport-specific offering to focus on stability and mobility. The programs include Strength, Core, and Yoga classes led by an experienced instructor.
In 2021, Apple Fitness+ released Time to Walk, an audio walking program that highlights influential people as they share stories and music meant to inspire walkers everywhere. New episodes of Time to Walk will be released with celebrities like Al Roker, Trixie Mattel, and Common. Select episodes will also be available on Apple Podcasts.
New Audio
Apple Fitness+ integrates seamlessly with Apple Music and its Artist Spotlight series. The largest series to date will count down to the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show. Workouts with Usher, Rihanna, and Britney Spears will be available in the weeks leading up to the big game.
In addition to music, the platform has added a new theme for meditation. The newest theme, Sound, gives listeners a chance to relax and restore with audio of bowls and gongs. New meditations are available every week.
New Award
For those who enjoy collecting the newest Apple Watch awards for their fitness, January brings a new challenge. To receive the limited-edition Ring in the New Year award, users must close all Activity rings seven days in a row.
