Paramount+ is an underrated streaming service. It’s got a fantastic selection of movies, and it’s got both great original and licensed television series. Since our favorite network shows aren’t returning to the air this fall, spend your September bingeing some content you haven’t seen before care of a legitimately good streaming platform.
Joe Pickett
If you’re obsessed with the Yellowstone universe but have exhausted all of your options, check out Joe Pickett. It’s a critically acclaimed series with two seasons about a game warden in Wyoming. Based on a series of books about the show’s titular character, Joe Pickett will have you rapt in the rustic drama. With only 20 episodes out, it won’t take long to binge, and you’ll be glad you did.
Special Ops: Lioness
If you love Zoe Saldana, check out Special Ops: Lioness. The Avatar alum stars in this action thriller as a CIA agent fighting the war on terror. The series explores her personal and professional life, and it’ll suck you right in. Special Ops: Lioness is written and created by Taylor Sheridan, the same man who’s responsible for Yellowstone and its spin-offs, so if you’re a fan of that work you just might be a fan of this, too.
Big Brother
Big Brother has been on television for literally decades, and it doesn’t show any signs of stopping. It’s got droves of loyal fans who’ve all entered the fandom at different points in the show’s history, so you can jump in now and become just as obsessed as everyone else. And with the writers’ and actors’ strike still in full swing, it might be a while before we get new seasons of our scripted favorites currently airing, so now’s as good a time as any to find a reality show to get into.
Ghosts
If you need a new quirky sitcom, check out Ghosts. This delightful little comedy was adapted for the US from a British show of the same name, and it’s got quite a unique premise. Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) move into a bed and breakfast Sam inherited from a family member, and while fixing up and running the B&B, they discover the house is also inhabited by ghosts. Don’t worry – the ghosts aren’t at all scary, but rather hilarious and endearing. You’ll be hooked after just a few episodes.
Each of these shows is streaming now on Paramount+.
