This show has every opportunity to be anxiety-inducing, but the cheery music and silly humor mixed with firm but fair feedback from the judges make it an almost calming experience to watch. If you’re familiar with the original show, you’ll see there are original hosts, judges, and even a different dynamic of a single baker competing. However, this show brings the same charm and will have you rooting for the teams week after week.
Shameless
Shameless follows the Gallagher family as they try to make ends meet and survive on the South Side of Chicago. We see the successes that brains and hard work bring as well as the struggles of family dynamics and substance use.
The chemistry on this show is unmatched. It feels like you’re really watching a family trying to survive some of the hardest years. The family dynamics are portrayed in a very raw, real way that sometimes feels like you’re watching a documentary. Queer Eye
The gentlemen have taken New Orleans in the most recent season of Queer Eye! The advisors are more than just experts – they bring sustainable solutions to these guests that fit into their lifestyles and are easy to maintain for the foreseeable future.
The show is heartwarming and genuine, but the real selling point here is the dynamic between Antoni, Bobby, Jonathan, Karamo, and Tan. These experts clearly enjoy each other and watching them be passionate and goofy with each other will keep you smiling through each episode. If you’re looking for a feel-good show that is inspiring and funny, look no further than Queer Eye. With seven full seasons to stream, there’s plenty of good vibes to enjoy.
Suits
What do you do when you have a brilliant mind, a troubled past, and the opportunity of a lifetime? That’s the question for Mike Ross in Suits, where his photographic memory impresses a partner at a law firm enough to get him a job even without a license.
This cast is supremely talented and manages the perfect portrayal of strangers to colleagues to more. You can’t help but root for Mike to find success, especially as his morals begin to realign and he becomes more interested in what’s right and wrong than the paycheck he receives. With eight seasons streaming on Netflix, there’s lots to enjoy.
Each of these series is streaming now on Netflix.
