Disney+ is a great streaming service to visit in October. Whether your family is after creepy content or not, it’s got a plethora of terrific options.
Bluey
Everyone with children seems to be on the Bluey bandwagon. If you’re not one of them, why not? The series is still actively releasing new episodes, so there will continue to be plenty of new Bluey content for the foreseeable future.
Phil of the Future
Disney Channel in the aughts was the place to be for TV-loving kids. Its slate of programming was unmatched for adolescents, and the pool of talent it had to work with is evidenced by the number of former Disney kids who are still working and relevant in pop culture today.
One of the most underrated series the network was playing in the ‘00s was Phil of the Future, a sitcom about a boy named Phil and his futuristic family who get stuck in the present on a vacation to the past. The family comically tries to adapt to life as we know it while figuring out how to get back to the future. It’s a quick binge and a great way to introduce your kids to the iconic Aly Michalka of Aly & AJ.
Raven’s Home
It’s rare for a spin-off to be successful, and even rarer for a spin-off to run longer than the original, but such is the case for Raven’s Home. A continuation of the life of Raven Baxter, Raven’s Home follows the titular character as an adult. Though she’s now a single mother, Raven is just as lovably loud and wild as she was in That’s So Raven, and she’s still psychic.
With plenty of appearances from beloved characters in the original show and Raven-Symoné directing and producing this time around, the show is special to fans of That’s So Raven who now get to watch a modern version with their kids, and it’s entertaining to viewers who didn’t watch it in the ‘00s, too.
Goosebumps
Disney hasn’t always released its projects at the right time – most notably, it released the first Hocus Pocus in the summer of 1993, resulting in what should have been an expected poor box office performance. The entertainment mammoth got one release right, though. It dropped Goosebumps on Friday, October 13th, ensuring audiences can devour it during spooky season. Critics are fans of the series, and if your kid likes the books of the same name or just enjoys scary content in general, they’ll be a fan.
Each of these series is streaming now on Disney+.
