True crime junkies have become obsessed with Dr. Death, the nickname first ascribed to Christopher Duntsch, a surgeon whose frightening story of medical malpractice inspired a variety of streaming content. No matter how you like to consume your content, there’s a way to learn the terrifying tale.
‘Dr. Death’ (Podcast)
The world at large first got to know about Duntsch through the podcast Dr. Death. The Wondery output first premiered in August of 2018, and it’s since produced three more seasons following Farid Fata, Paolo Macchiarini, and Serhat Gumrukcu, with the fourth season dropping in late 2023. Not every season is available on every podcast platform, but most will have at least one season to stream.

In late 2023, a second season of the series dropped, this time dramatizing the podcast’s third season, which covers Macchiarini’s story. Edgar Ramírez lends his talents as Macchiarini while Mandy Moore plays his love interest.
