The legendary HBO series The Sopranos, which premiered 25 years ago, is still widely considered the best television show of all time. Max is marking the milestone with a variety of extra content on the streaming platform, across the internet, and in person around the country.

Max Exclusives

If you love The Sopranos, there’s never been a better time to subscribe to Max. Throughout the month of January, the platform has released deleted and never-before-seen scenes and behind-the-scenes footage, amounting to hours of extra content. This, along with the entire original series, can all be found on the app’s The Sopranos: 25th Anniversary Collection.

The Sopranos left an indelible imprint on the global entertainment culture and was instrumental in defining HBO as the destination for groundbreaking, award-winning programming. The many ways we will honor this 25-year milestone will allow fans to celebrate the Soprano legacy and pay tribute to the characters that have had such an enduring impact,” Zach Enterlin, an HBO executive, said in a press release of the anniversary content.

‘The Sopranos’ Has Made Its TikTok Debut

The bygone television show is also aiming to appeal to a younger generation by creating a TikTok account. The Sopranos now has an official account on the social media platform, posting some of its most iconic scenes for fans and new audiences to view. For those who don’t want to dedicate nearly 80 hours of their life to watching the series, they can watch a 25-second recap of each episode as the account continues to release them.

Max has made content available on YouTube, as well, albeit not as comprehensive. The first two episodes of the series are available to watch for free on the video-sharing website.

Other Unique Celebrations

The Sopranos is being honored in person, too. Pop-up events, special dinners, and screeners of the show have been held all over the country in January, and members of the cast reunited on stage at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards. Additionally, cast members Robert Iler and Jamie-Lynn Sigler, hosts of the Not Today, Pal podcast have released a special episode of their podcast to honor the series and answer fan questions.

Finally, if you’d like to be decked out in Sopranos gear, special 25th anniversary merchandise can be purchased through the HBO Shop. The network has promised to continue releasing new items throughout the year.
